Introduction & Acceptance

Welcome to NaijaFind. NaijaFind is a curated discovery platform that connects users with verified businesses, services, and experiences across Nigeria. These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "Contributor," or "Business Owner") and NaijaFind.

By accessing, browsing, creating an account, submitting a listing, or using any feature of NaijaFind — including its website, mobile app, or any affiliated service — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.

⚠️ If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately stop using NaijaFind. Continued use of the platform after any update to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We recommend bookmarking this page and checking it periodically.

02

Who May Use NaijaFind

NaijaFind is open to all persons aged 18 years and above. Users under 18 may access the platform only with verifiable parental or guardian consent. By using the platform, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years old or have obtained valid parental consent.
  • All information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.
  • You have the legal authority to agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself or any organization you represent.
  • You will not use the platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose.
  • You will update your information promptly if any of it changes.

03

Business Listings — Ownership & Authorization

This is one of the most critical sections of these Terms. NaijaFind takes the authenticity of its listings with the utmost seriousness. Submitting a listing on NaijaFind is a declaration of authority and truthfulness.

🚫 You MUST NOT list a business that is not yours

  • Submitting, claiming, or editing a listing for a business, brand, service, or establishment that you do not own, co-own, or have express written authorization to represent is strictly prohibited and constitutes fraud under Nigerian law and these Terms.

When submitting a business listing on NaijaFind, you affirm — under penalty of removal and legal action — that:

  • You are the registered owner, a verified partner, or a formally authorized representative of the business being listed.
  • You have the right to publish the business's name, address, photos, contact details, and service descriptions on a public platform.
  • All details provided — including business name, address, categories, hours, and pricing — are accurate and up to date.
  • You will update the listing promptly whenever any information changes (e.g., relocation, closure, change of ownership).
  • You consent to NaijaFind's right to verify your listing through physical inspection, phone verification, or documentation request at any time.
Verification: NaijaFind reserves the right to request proof of business ownership at any time — including CAC registration, business permit, utility bills, or government-issued identification. Failure to produce valid proof within 7 business days of a request will result in immediate listing removal and potential account suspension.

Any person who lists a business they do not own or represent — including a competitor's business, a fictitious business, or a real business they have no authority over — will be subject to the penalties outlined in Section 6.

04

Prohibited Activities & Fraudulent Conduct

The following activities are strictly forbidden on NaijaFind and will result in immediate action including account termination, listing removal, and potential referral to law enforcement authorities.

🚫 Identity & Impersonation Fraud

  • Listing, claiming, or managing a business under a false identity or using another person's credentials.
  • Impersonating another business owner, NaijaFind staff, or any regulatory body.
  • Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans, suspensions, or review restrictions.

🚫 Listing Manipulation & Fake Reviews

  • Submitting fake, misleading, or artificially inflated reviews — whether for your own listing or a competitor's.
  • Coordinating with others to mass-report, mass-rate, or sabotage a competitor's listing.
  • Offering payment, gifts, or incentives in exchange for positive reviews or ratings on NaijaFind.
  • Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with listings, reviews, or ratings.

🚫 Competitor Sabotage

  • Deliberately listing a competitor's business with false or damaging information to harm their reputation.
  • Claiming ownership of a competitor's listing without authorization.
  • Submitting false "report an issue" complaints against legitimate listings in bad faith.

🚫 Scams & Dubious Activities

  • Using NaijaFind as a front for scam operations, fraudulent services, or illegal solicitation.
  • Advertising services that do not exist, using NaijaFind to collect deposits or payments fraudulently.
  • Listing businesses involved in money laundering, illegal goods, unlicensed financial services, or any activity prohibited under Nigerian law.
  • Redirecting NaijaFind users to phishing websites or collecting their personal data through deceptive means.

🚫 Platform Abuse

  • Attempting to hack, scrape, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the NaijaFind platform.
  • Uploading malware, spam links, or harmful content through listing descriptions, photos, or contact fields.
  • Using NaijaFind data to build competing platforms without written consent.

05

Misrepresentation of Services

Accuracy is at the heart of NaijaFind. Users trust us to tell them the truth about what a business offers. Any deliberate or negligent misrepresentation of services causes real harm — to our users, to competing businesses, and to NaijaFind's credibility.

🚫 What counts as misrepresentation

  • Advertising services, products, or amenities that the business does not actually offer.
  • Publishing operating hours that are knowingly inaccurate, causing users to make wasted trips.
  • Listing a price range significantly lower than the business's actual pricing to attract visits under false pretenses.
  • Uploading photos that do not belong to or accurately represent the listed business.
  • Claiming hygiene ratings, certifications (e.g., NAFDAC, SON, health certificates), or awards that have not been genuinely obtained.
  • Describing the business as operating in a location it does not actually occupy.
  • Inflating staff qualifications — e.g., claiming certified doctors, licensed engineers, or accredited professionals that are not on staff.

Business owners are responsible for keeping their listings accurate and up to date at all times. NaijaFind will notify business owners to update stale listings; failure to respond within 14 days may result in listing suspension.

User harm is the benchmark. If a NaijaFind user makes a decision — a visit, a booking, a payment — based on inaccurate information on your listing, you may be held liable for that user's loss under Nigerian consumer protection law, and NaijaFind will cooperate with any legal proceedings arising from such a complaint.

  • Truthful: Content must reflect reality. No embellishment, fabrication, or selective omission intended to mislead.

  • Any loss, injury, or disappointment arising from visiting a business listed on NaijaFind.
  • Transactions, disputes, or agreements entered into between users and listed businesses.
  • Changes in business quality, ownership, or operations that post-date our last verification.
  • Third-party websites or services linked from any listing on the platform.

Business owners bear full responsibility for the accuracy and legality of their listings. Users exercise their own judgment when interacting with any business discovered on NaijaFind.
